Journal 7: Don't Trash the Ocean!

Today I was shocked to hear that a man was caught on video dumping an entire trash can into the ocean off of a boat.

This is disheartening. What else can we do to spread awareness about ocean conservation? These are the kinds of people I want to educate, the kinds of people I desperately wish could see the impact of what they're doing. We are not just fighting oil companies or huge pollutant-causing corporations...we are working to educate the uneducated. And once we educate them, how do we make them care? Can you teach compassion? Can you teach someone to care about the ecosystem from which all life originates, the ecosystem that controls nearly everything around us?
